AP Information
For more academically challenging options, SHS offers Advanced Placement classes. Advanced Placement (AP) classes are college-level courses taught by a high school teacher. In these courses, students will take a national end-of-year examination to determine the type of credit that will transfer to colleges and universities. Students can earn anywhere from a 1 to 5. Typically, a score of 3 or higher grants students college credits. Universities, however, determine how they will grant credits to students.
