School Website Report; Instruction on Human Sexuality
Pursuant to Senate Enrolled Act (SEA) 442, beginning with the 2025-2026 school year, each state accredited school shall publish a list of materials used in connection with the instruction on the school's website:
Name/description of human sexuality course(s) that are taught.
- Grade 8: CHAT (Choices Helping Abstinent Teens) - the course is taught over the course of eight class periods and includes a facilitated discussion of students’ dreams and goals, and their relationship to adolescent sexual behavior. Teens receive medically accurate, fact-based information about preventing pregnancy, STDs, and HIV infection; learn strategies for responding to peer and partner pressure; and practice refusal and negotiation skills.

Provide a list/link to curricular materials being used for the course.
- We use the Making a Difference! Curriculum from ETR. https://www.etr.org/store/curricula/making-a-difference
- We will be adding the following video to instruction in order to satisfy the requirement that the program include: “(A) A high definition ultrasound video, at least three (3) minutes in duration, showing the development of the brain, heart, sex organs, and other vital organs in early fetal development. (B) A high quality computer generated rendering or animation showing the process of fertilization and each stage of fetal development inside the uterus, noting significant markers in cell growth and organ development for every week of pregnancy from fertilization to birth.”

- We will also be adding a focus point on consent to the instruction as well.
Provide the consent for participation letter being used and process for complying with the statutory.
